Number of casualties after missile attack on Smila rises to eight people, including one child – regional administration

KYIV. Dec 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The number of casualties as a result of a missile attack on Smila, Cherkasy region, increased to eight people, including one child. According to preliminary information, 51 houses were damaged, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration Ihor Taburets has said.

“The operations to clean up the aftermath of the missile attack on Smila are underway. As of the moment, we have eight injured people, including a child. According to preliminary information, 51 houses were damaged. The examination continues,” he said on the Telegram channel on Friday.

An emergency response headquarters has been set up at a local school to accommodate residents of the damaged houses and provide them with food. Temporary housing is being prepared.
