Occupation authorities want to forcibly passport at least 85% of population – Vereschuk

KYIV. Dec 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereschuk states that the occupation authorities want to forcibly passport at least 85% of the population of the temporarily occupied territories.

“We understand their [occupation authorities] tactics – they want to forcibly passport at least 85%, as they assign tasks to collaborators in territories that are temporarily occupied. But they fail,” Vereschuk said on air of the national telethon in Monday.

In this regard, according to her, the occupation authorities intend to allow the population to vote in the upcoming presidential elections in Russia without passports or with Ukrainian documents.

As reported, Vereschuk recommends that residents of the occupied territories not take part in any form in the upcoming Russian presidential elections in 2024.
