Occupiers again fire at Kremenchuk refinery – head of Poltava Regional Military Administration

KYIV. May 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Russian occupiers again carried out a rocket attack on an oil refinery in the town of Kremenchuk, Poltava region, as well as the territory of Poltava district, head of Poltava Regional Military Administration Dmytro Lunin said.

"Four hits again at Kremenchuk refinery. Also, the sounds of explosions were heard in Poltava district. Details later. We are not leaving shelter!" Lunin wrote on Telegram on Thursday.

Later, he said that at least eight missiles were fired at Kremenchuk, and in addition to the oil refinery, they also hit other facilities.

"From eight to 12 Russian missiles hit Kremenchuk, oil refineries and other infrastructure. Details will be later. The threat of strikes remains," Lunin said.

In turn, Adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko said that seven missile strikes were carried out on the territory of an idle oil refinery in Kremenchuk on Thursday.

"In addition, another missile hit near the railway tracks. Information about the victims and destruction is being specified," he said in Telegram.

As reported, on April 24 in the evening, nine Russian missiles struck the Kremenchuk thermal power plant and the Kremenchuk refinery. As a result, one person was killed, seven more were injured, the fire at the refinery was eliminated only by the middle of the next day.
