Occupiers inflict one missile strike, mount twelve attacks using MLRS on Ukraine in past 24 hours – AFU General Staff

KYIV. Jan 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Russian occupation forces inflicted one missile strike and mounted twelve shelling attacks from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) on the territory of Ukraine in the past 24 hours, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has said.

"The enemy inflicted one missile strike and mounted twelve shelling attacks from MLRS on the territory of Ukraine, in particular on the civilian infrastructure in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, in the past 24 hours," it said.

The threat of enemy air and missile strikes remains all over the territory of Ukraine, the General Staff said.

"In order to maintain their offensive potential and make up for their losses, the invaders continue their mobilization measures. The main efforts of the enemy are focused on attempts to completely capture Donetsk region within the administrative border. Conducts offensive operations in Bakhmut and unsuccessfully tries to improve the tactical situation in Kupiansk, Lyman, and Avdiyivka directions. On others – defends," it said.

The situation in Volyn and Polissia directions did not change.
