Occupiers make one missile, four air strikes against Ukraine, mount 16 artillery attacks in past 24 hours – AFU General Staff

KYIV. Dec 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Russian occupation forces launched one missile and four air strikes against the territory of Ukraine, as well as mounted 16 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) in the past 24 hours, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has said on Friday.

The invaders have increased the volume of railway transportation of personnel, military equipment and ammunition to the areas of hostilities, the General Staff said.

"The enemy continues to focus on the offensive in Lyman, Bakhmut, and Avdiyivka directions. It is also trying to improve its tactical position in Kupyansk direction. It defends in Novopavlivka, Zaporizhia, and Kherson directions," it said.

The threat of air and missile strikes on the critical infrastructure all over Ukraine remains.

According to the General Staff, with the aim of strengthening administrative and police measures in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia region, around 500 servicemen of the Russian National Guard have arrived in Berdiansk.

"The Ukrainian aviation mounted seven attacks on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment in the past 24 hours. Our rocket and artillery units also hit two control points, two ammunition depots and eleven areas of concentration of enemy personnel. The information about enemy losses is yet to be specified," the General Staff said.
