KYIV. May 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Russian occupation forces shelled a village in Kakhovsky district, Kherson region, on Wednesday, as a result of which a woman was killed and houses were damaged, the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) has said.
“According to the investigation, on May 10 at around 17:00, occupiers mounted a mortar shelling attack on a village in Kakhovsky district. As a result of the shelling, a local woman suffered injuries incompatible with life. Houses and outbuildings were damaged,” it said on the Telegram channel.
With the procedural guidance of Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war and a murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The prosecutors and investigators continue to take all possible measures to document the war crimes committed by Russian troops.
