KYIV. Sept 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development voted in favor of the resignation of Rustem Umerov as Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF), the chairperson of the committee, Dmytro Natalukha (the Servant of the People faction) has said.
“The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development backed the resignation of Rustem Umerov as Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine: eleven votes in favor, no one abstained or voted against in the voting,” he said on Facebook on Monday.
As reported on September 3, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he will nominate Rustem Umerov for defense minister. On September 4 in the morning, Reznikov filed a letter of resignation to the parliament, and Umerov resigned as Head of the SPF.
