KYIV. Dec 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Slovak side, from 19:30 on December 13, partially restored operations for allowing trucks to enter its territory, the State Border Guard Service reported on Thursday.
“As of 6:00 at the Uzhgorod border crossing point (BCP), 28 trucks were registered to leave Ukraine. Twenty four of them have already passed all types of control on the Slovak side,” the authority said.
As reported, two trucks per hour would be accepted for entry into Slovakia. In fact, three or four trucks are allowed through per hour.
Slovakia’s truckers association (UNAS) blocked the movement of trucks through the only BCP on the border with Ukraine Vyšné Nemecké-Uzhgorod from 15:00 on December 11.
According to the eCherha system, 1,181 trucks are waiting to enter Slovakia.
