WASHINGTON. May 5 (Interfax) – Armenia and Azerbaijan are close to concluding a peace agreement, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Thursday, May 4.
“There is an agreement within sight […],” Blinken said following negotiations with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

The U.S. is committed to concluding a peace agreement, Blinken said.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry said for its part that the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan had made headway on certain articles of the peace agreement during the negotiations hosted by the United States.
According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Baku and Yerevan agreed on certain provisions of the peace agreement in Arlington, while still disagreeing on certain key issues.
