Pentagon sees no signs of Minsk's entry into war against Ukraine in joint tactical drills of Belarus, Russia

KYIV. Jan 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Pentagon has stated that they do not see in the joint tactical drills of Belarus and Russia signs of the republic’s entry into the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

"You know, we do know that the Russians and the Belarusians are going to train together. We are not seeing any indications that Belarus has the intent to enter into the conflict," U.S. Air Force Brigadier General Pat Ryder said at a briefing.

"We just believe it’s continued training between the Belarusians and the Russians. Over," he stressed.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus stated that personnel, weapons, military and special equipment of the Russian armed forces would continue to arrive in Belarus, further combat coordination activities were planned.

In particular, from January 16 to February 1, 2023, joint tactical drills will be held with the aviation units of the Armed Forces of Belarus and Russia, which are part of the aviation component of the regional grouping of troops (forces).
