By KYIV. Sept 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) Olha Pischanska will give up her post and be appointed as Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) instead of Rustem Umerov, member of the Holos faction Yaroslav Zhelezniak has said.
“Olha Pischanska is leaving the AMCU (so much has been said about reform when law No. 5431 was adopted). Mrs. Pischanska will be immediately appointed as Head of the State Property Fund (when Rustem Umerov is appointed as Defense Minister),” he said on the Telegram channel on Saturday.
The MP also said that Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko will be appointed as Head of the AMCU.
On August 31, Zhelezniak said Oleksiy Reznikov would resign as Defense Minister of Ukraine next week after which he will be appointed as Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK. The candidacy of Rustem Umerov, who is a former member of the Holos faction and incumbent Head of the SPF, will be submitted for the position of Defense Minister.
Several media also reported that the president of Ukraine will propose the Verkhovna Rada to dismiss Reznikov and appoint Umerov. It is in the powers of the head of state to nominate candidate for Defense Minister.
