Plaque dedicated to founder of World Central Kitchen charity organization José Andrés appears on Walk of Brave in Kyiv

KYIV. Nov 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A plaque to the founder of the World Central Kitchen charity organization Jose Andres appeared on the Alley of Courage, located near the Verkhovna Rada building in Kyiv, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said.

"Jose Andres has been with Ukraine since the first days of the full-scale invasion. He still continues to help Ukrainians. Thank you for the support of our country and our people!" Zelensky wrote on Telegram on Monday.

As reported, from the first day of the invasion of the Russian Federation, World Central Kitchen began working on the Ukrainian-Polish border and helped internally displaced persons, and later launched active activities in many cities of Ukraine.

In August, about 5,000 Ukrainians were involved in the work of World Central Kitchen in Ukraine, more than 500 food establishments worked. In the first six months after the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, more than 130 million meals were prepared for Ukrainian citizens.
