PM: all educational institutions should have reliable, properly equipped shelters

KYIV. Jan 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – All educational institutions should have reliable and properly equipped shelters, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has said.

"Let’s focus on the safety of students and teachers. Currently, 65% of educational institutions in Ukraine are provided with shelters. This is not enough. All educational institutions should have reliable and properly equipped shelters," Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.

According to him, the remote education format will also be improved.

"We must resort to online learning to protect the life and health of children. It is important to fill the digital space with high-quality content, create asynchronous learning tools, and provide students and teachers with access to high-speed Internet," he said.

In addition, Shmyhal said that in 2023 the New Ukrainian School reforms in grades 5-9 will be continued.
