KYIV. Nov 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree that puts into force the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine On the application and amendment of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions), dated November 18.
Corresponding decree No. 758/2023 was published on the presidential website.
According to the text of the NSDC decision, updated sanctions for a period of ten years are introduced against former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov; former Minister of Education and Science Dmytro Tabachnyk; MP of Ukraine of the IV-VII convocations Oleh Tsariov; MP of Ukraine of the IV-VIII convocations Dmytro Sviatash; head of the occupation administration of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov; chairman of the so-called “LPR” Leonid Pasechnik; deputy of the Russian State Duma Dmytro Sablin, as well as former Ukrainian television presenter Yuriy Kot.
The package of sanctions provides for the blocking of assets, a complete restriction of trade operations, as well as the transit of resources, flights and transportation across the territory of Ukraine, the prevention of the withdrawal of capital outside Ukraine, the suspension of the fulfilment of economic and financial obligations, a ban on participation in privatization, leasing of state property, a ban on the implementation of public and defense procurement of goods, works and services from legal entities, a ban on transactions in securities, a ban on increasing the size of the charter capital of business companies and enterprises, a ban on the transfer of technology, rights to intellectual property rights, cancellation of official visits, meetings, negotiations on the conclusion of agreements or agreements, as well as a ban on the acquisition of land plots.
