Progress on draft peace treaty with Azerbaijan possible – Armenian FM

YEREVAN. Nov 30 (Interfax) – Progress may be reached in agreeing a draft peace treaty with Azerbaijan, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said at a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

“Mirzoyan said that […] Armenia forwarded proposals to Azerbaijan regarding a draft peace treaty in line with the known principles, and in the event of Azerbaijan’s firm commitment to these principles, it will be possible to agree the draft and make considerable progress in this regard,” the Armenian Foreign Ministry’s press service said.

Mirzoyan and Blinken also discussed the Armenian-U.S. agenda, cooperation on bilateral and multilateral platforms and the prospects for expanding such contacts.

Mirzoyan and Blinken met in Skopje, which is hosting an OSCE Ministerial Council meeting.
