KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Public Council under the Ministry of Veterans Affairs calls on Yulia Lapukhina to resign from the post of minister.
“We, the team of the Public Council of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, consider it our duty to publicly address Minister of Veterans Affairs Yulia Laputina! You must resign from the post of minister! Your activity is ineffective,” the Public Council said in a Facebook post.
In particular, the Public Council believes that there is no formed state policy of veterans in the country, the accountable ministry is in decline as an institution, and Laputina herself allegedly lacks confidence.
“We appeal to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President’s Office of Ukraine, Halyna Tretyakova, Denys Shmyhal, Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, Anatoliy Ostapenko, Oleksandr Zavitnevych, Yehor Chernev, David Arakhamia, Irina Vereschuk, to dismiss Yulia Laputina. Ukraine needs an effective Ministry of Veterans Affairs, because this is human capital and a component of national security,” the appeal says.
