KYIV. May 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine during martial law simplified a number of urban planning procedures, as well as approved the creation of a program of complex reconstruction of settlements.
For corresponding bill number 782 "On amendments to some laws of Ukraine on the priority measures of reforming the sphere of urban development," adopted as a whole at a meeting on May 12 voted 265 deputies, said MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram channel.
According to the draft law, the plan of comprehensive rehabilitation of a settlement (territory) determines the main spatial and socio-economic priorities for the rehabilitation of territories affected by battles and emergencies. The relevant plan shall be approved by the relevant village or city council within 30 calendar days from the date of its submission.
"The bill also proposes to allow during wartime to establish and change the purpose of a land plot of state and municipal property. We are talking about the construction of temporary housing and the placement of evacuated production facilities," head of the Servant of the People party, deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on the Organization of state power, local self–government, regional development and Urban Planning Olena Shulyak said on Facebook.
