KYIV. Nov 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – After deciding to begin negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, the Verkhovna Rada will have to adopt at least one and a half thousand bills, said First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Kornienko.
“When there is a political decision to open negotiations, we believe it will be in December. Next, a negotiation framework will be formed and we will go to work. According to very optimistic estimates, 1,500 laws need to be adopted. And some say about 5,000,” Kornienko said during a national telethon on Wednesday.
