Rada proposed to improve procedure for property expropriation during war

KYIV. Dec 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A group of MPs proposes the Verkhovna Rada to improve the legal regulation of the expropriation of property under martial law.

Relevant bill No. 8312 was registered in the parliament on Tuesday.

It provides, in particular, for the valuation of such property, the preparation of acts of expropriation, the provision of documents on the valuation of property subject to expropriation to the owners of such property or their authorized representative.

At the same time, the initiators of the document consider it necessary to grant the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as the central governing body of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the authority to manage seized property, namely corporate rights (shares).

Among the authors of the bill are members of the Servant of the People faction, in particular, Oleksandr Zavitnevych, Serhiy Kuzminykh, Maryana Bezuhla and Yehor Chernev.
