Russia starts compulsory passportization of children in Luhansk region

KYIV. Dec 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) –The occupied authorities of Luhansk region have begun compulsory passportization of children under 14 years old, Head of the regional military administration Serhiy Haidai said.

"The procedure for filing an application for recognition of a child living in the occupied territory and under the age of 14 as a Russian citizen has already entered into force. For this, the parent must have a Russian passport. Of course, you cannot receive it and immediately fall under the reduction at work or under denial of social benefits. The occupiers do not leave time for reflection," Haidai said on his Telegram channel.

According to him, "the Kremlin is in a hurry to forcibly passport the residents of the occupied Luhansk region. What they did not consider it necessary to do for eight years, they are trying to do in a few months in order to inspire people with disbelief in Ukraine and, at the same time, strengthen their own propaganda."
