Russia to be unable to weaken support for Ukraine – Kuleba-Cleverly talk

KYIV. Nov 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Russia will not be able to weaken support for Ukraine, divide or undermine the democratic world, Ukrainian and British Foreign Ministers Dmytro Kuleba and James Cleverly believe.

"The Secretary of State and I share a common strong position – Russia will not succeed in dividing or undermining the democratic world, it will not succeed in weakening support for Ukraine, and today James reaffirmed that Britain will support Ukraine for as long as necessary, and negotiations will be exclusively on Ukrainian terms. and when Ukraine decides," Kuleba said at a press conference with British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly in Kyiv on Friday.

He drew attention to the fact that recently the media has been circulating the topic that partners seem to be pushing Ukraine into premature negotiations with Russia.

"It is important to note, and here James and I fully agree that Russia is not currently looking for peace, it is looking for respite in order to continue its aggression and destruction of Ukraine and Ukrainians with renewed forces," Kuleba said.

In addition, the Ukrainian minister expressed special gratitude for the very important decision of London to transfer three Sea King helicopters to Ukraine, the first of which Ukraine has already received.

"These are reliable machines manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft, which will strengthen the defense capability of our Naval Forces," Kuleba said.

According to Kuleba, he discussed with the British Foreign Minister the urgent need for an air shield over Ukraine and the resumption of energy supplies after Russian shelling, as well as further international initiatives in support of Ukraine, and in particular, interaction with the countries of the so-called global south.
