KYIV. Oct 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Russian occupiers on the territory of Ukraine are experiencing problems with the material and technical supply for their units, in particular, the personnel lacks warm clothes, which has led to an increase in the number of thefts and looting in the temporarily occupied territory, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has said.
"The issue of material and technical support for units of the Russian occupation forces directly involved in hostilities in the territory of Ukraine remains a problem. Thus, according to available information, the lack of warm clothes has led to an increase in the number of cases of theft and looting by military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region," the General Staff said.
The mobilized military, who have arrived in the area of combat missions, did not undergo appropriate training, and also do not have practical skills in using the main types of weapons.
"This leads to significant losses of the enemy in manpower," the General Staff said.
It also said that the unsatisfactory condition of military equipment removed from storage and delivered to replenish current losses was the result of frequent cases of desertion and surrender of the invaders to the defense forces of Ukraine.
Thus, according to preliminary information, a significant part of the weapons and military equipment sent by the occupiers to Donetsk and Novopavlivsk directions is limited or completely unsuitable for combat use. In particular, we are talking about T-62 tanks removed from long-term storage, it said.
