KYIV. Nov 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Russian terrorists do not have such missiles that could fall into the Ukrainian desire to live, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in his evening video message on Monday after another Russian rocket attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure.
According to him, restoration work is still ongoing in those regions where Russian missiles hit today.
"We are doing everything possible to restore energy and water supply. And we will restore it. Russian terrorists do not have such missiles that could fall into the Ukrainian desire to live. To live in a civilized manner and take care of each other," Zelensky said.
"And if someone in the Kremlin heard enough of their crazy propagandists and decided that the darkness in Ukraine would help to put pressure on the Ukrainians, then they should not be surprised at their losses later. They will see how the Ukrainians negotiate in the dark," he said.
The head of state said the Air Force of Ukraine and the units of the Defense Forces involved in protecting the sky worked very well today. Thanks to this, most of the objects that the terrorists identified as targets were saved.
"Only this morning, terrorists used 55 cruise missiles for a massive strike. Of these, 45 were shot down. We will continue to strengthen our air defense. But now, for every ten hits, terrorists have to spend at least four times more missiles," he said.
"The indicators in Russia are even worse regarding drones, including those supplied to it by accomplices from Iran. And the world sees this. It sees that the former ‘second army of the world’ is no longer even twenty-second in terms of its effectiveness. And we will do everything so that it goes beyond the second hundred altogether. It will be. Neither the army, nor terror, nor anything else, Russia will be able to conquer Ukraine," Zelensky said.
The president also expressed his gratitude to the employees of the State Emergency Service for the elimination of the consequences of the Russian terrorist attacks, energy workers, utilities, regional administrations and all Ukrainians who guarantee that Russia will respond.
