Russia’s defense minister instructs to begin withdrawal of troops, to transfer forces and equipment to left bank of Dnipro

KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Russian military will transfer its units to the left bank of Dnipro, said commander of the joint grouping of Russian troops in Ukraine, Army General Sergei Surovikin, reporting to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on Wednesday.

"Having comprehensively assessed the current situation, it is proposed to take up defense along the left bank of the Dnipro River," Surovikin said.

Shoigu agreed with the proposal. "Proceed with the withdrawal of troops and take all measures to ensure the safe transfer of personnel, weapons and equipment across the Dnipro River," the minister said.
