Dec 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Prosecutor General’s Office has opened criminal proceedings on the application of Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter Yuriy Hudymenko about the illegal activities of members of the Opposition Platform – For Life political party, the investigation is being conducted by the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI), the Bureau told Interfax-Ukraine.
"Indeed, the Prosecutor General’s Office instructed the State Bureau of Investigations to conduct a criminal investigation into the facts set forth in a statement of the serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And such an investigation is being carried out," the State Bureau of Investigations noted.
Earlier, Yuriy Hudymenko published a post in which he said that his statement against the members of the Opposition Platform for Life was entrusted to investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the State Bureau of Investigations to conduct a pretrial investigation. "An article of the Criminal Code [high treason]. The statements have been included in the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations," he wrote.
