KYIV. Nov 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has held an online conversation with Director of the European Department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Alfred Kammer.
“We discussed the implementation of reforms and the implementation of structural beacons. We noted progress in this direction. The IMF is preparing a mission for the second revision of the expanded financing program, which will attract the next tranche of assistance in the amount of approximately $900 million,” Shmyhal said on the Telegram channel Thursday evening.
The parties also discussed the financing of the state budget deficit, support for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as measures aimed at economic growth.
“I welcomed the resumption of the work of the IMF office in Ukraine. This is a positive signal for all our partners that Ukraine remains stable and continues to change,” Shmyhal stressed.
As reported, on October 4, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) resumed the work of its permanent mission in Ukraine, located in Kyiv.
