Small businesses headed by women affected by Russian aggression can receive French grant

KYIV. Dec 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Small businesses in Vinnytsia, Odesa and Chernihiv regions are being offered grant support, the Ministry of Reintegration of Ukraine reported on Telegram on Sunday.

The competition was announced as part of the project Securing Women’s Economic Empowerment for Recovery and Development (SEED) of the French non-governmental organization ACTED.

Enterprises that have suffered from Russia’s armed aggression and are headed by women can take part in the competition. The main goal of the SEED project is to increase women’s economic security and provide opportunities for their self-realization and development.

Grants can be provided to such business groups depending on the situation in which they find themselves: those in need of external financial support to restore their economic activities; those in need of external support to maintain their economic activity; those who demonstrate the ability and potential to expand and create new jobs in their regions.

The grant amount is up to UAH 400,000. The application deadline is December 22, 2023.
