Some 7,600 AFU servicemen receive, 2,900 continue receiving basic training abroad – General Staff

KYIV. Nov 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Some 7,600 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have received and another 2,900 military personnel continue receiving basic training abroad, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the AFU General Staff, Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov said.

"As of today, 6,700 AFU personnel have received and another 300 servicemen are receiving training in use of armament and military equipment abroad. As for basic military training, 7,600 servicemen have received and 2,900 are receiving it," he told a press briefing at the Military Media Center on Thursday.

Hromov added that collective training is also conducted for AFU units at the training grounds of partner countries.
