KYIV. Sept 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Property Fund of Ukraine has prepared five objects for sale as part of large-scale privatization, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday and expressed hope that they will be sold next year, but did not specify their names.
“I believe that today, we have a fairly effective privatization policy, and this, in particular, is a tool for reducing the influence of the state. I support this in every possible way and am convinced that next year this element of small- and large-scale privatization in Ukraine, in principle, should end,” the Prime Minister said.
According to the draft state budget 2024, which the government approved on Friday, revenues from privatization next year are planned at UAH 4 billion.
Shmyhal said that this year, they have already reached UAH 4 billion, and another UAH 600 million were received from rent.
“UAH 4 billion… is a significant income from privatization during the war, considering that this privatization is small- and medium-scale… there was no large-scale privatization,” the prime minister said.
