Suspect of seizing funds of Derzhinformyust extradited to Ukraine from Germany – NABU

KYIV. Nov 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Director General of a private enterprise, suspected of involvement in the seizure of UAH 6.5 million of the state enterprise Derzhinformyust, was extradited from Germany to Ukraine on November 18, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) said on its website on Monday.

"She was wanted for almost five years, and at the end of May 2022 she was detained by the competent authorities of Germany. NABU has chosen a measure of restraint for the suspect in the form of detention with an alternative of UAH 496,200 of posting a bail," the message says.

According to the investigation, in November 2013, the former director general of the state-run enterprise Derzhinformyust with an enterprise controlled by him signed contracts for the supply of software products: the TrueConfserver program and accompanying documentation to it. "The first contract provided for an inflated cost, and the subsequent one was not supposed to supply goods at all. Such actions caused UAH 6.5 million damage to Derzhinformyust," the NABU said.

The investigation involving other participants in the crime has been completed, the case is under consideration in court.
