KYIV. Sept 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, 12 separate brigades have received an honorary name in accordance with the relevant presidential decrees, said Mykola Herasymenko, head of the Military-patriotic Education Department of the Humanitarian Support Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to him, during this period, four regiments, one aviation squadron and one corvette of the AFU Navy received honorary titles.
“A total of 37 brigades received an honorary name and this work actively began after the start of a full–scale invasion,” Herasymenko said during a round table at the Military Media Center.
In addition, according to the representative of the Ministry of Defense, 40 brigades, four regiments, five centers and 10 separate battalions have been marked with the honorary badge of the president For Courage and Bravery since the beginning of the war.
