Two power engineers injured as result of another enemy shelling of Seredyna-Buda in Sumy region – prosecutor's office

KYIV. Sept 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Under the procedural guidance of Shostka District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine): two power engineers were wounded as a result of a shelling attack by the occupation forces on Saturday.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine said that “according to the investigation, on September 2, 2023, at about 10:30, occupiers fired mortars from the territory of the Russian Federation at the town of Seredyna-Buda, Shostka district. Shells hit Sumyoblenergo’s car. Two workers were injured. A power line, two institutions and a local enterprise were damaged.”

Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers, record the consequences of the shelling. In the future, the materials of the criminal proceedings will be transferred to the Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Sumy region.
