Two severely wounded Ukrainian soldiers arrive in Slovenia for treatment – embassy

KYIV. Dec 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Two severely wounded Ukrainian soldiers arrived in Slovenia on Wednesday to receive further full medical care and rehabilitation, the Ukrainian Embassy in Slovenia said.

"The wounded and their escort were taken to Slovenia by an L-410 Turbolet transport aircraft of the Slovenian Armed Forces, which was specially equipped for this mission with a medical module for transporting the sick and wounded. They were accompanied by a medical team of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Slovenia. The wounded will undergo a full course of treatment in Slovenian medical institutions," the embassy said on its Facebook post.

As noted in the statement, Slovenia has joined 18 EU member states in providing assistance to the wounded from the war zone.
