UAH 211 mln spent on BES activities in Jan-Nov – head of Rada investigatory commission

KYIV. Dec 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (BES) spent UAH 211 million from the state budget in January-November 2022, but not a penny went to the state budget from its activities, Head of the provisional investigatory commission of the Verkhovna Rada to investigate possible facts of violations of the law by officials BES Yaroslav Zhelezniak (Holos parliamentary faction).

"In 11 months of this year, UAH 211 million was used from the budget for the activities of the BES. During this time, the BES submitted as many as seven cases to courts. The amount of damages in criminal proceedings is 0 hryvnia 0 kopiikas," Zhelezniak wrote in his Telegram channel.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada created the provisional investigatory commission to investigate possible facts of violations of the law by officials of the BES, public authorities, which could lead to a decrease in revenues to the state and local budgets.

The provisional investigatory commission will check the BES, public financial monitoring services, customs and tax services, the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine.
