By KYIV. Dec 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – London has sent more than 1,000 metal detectors and 100 bomb de-arming kits to Kyiv to help the Ukrainian authorities clear mines, the British Defense Ministry said on Friday.
"The UK has donated more than 1,000 VALLON metal detectors and 100 bomb de-arming kits to Ukraine to help clear minefields and make safe reclaimed territory, civilian homes, and infrastructure," the ministry said.
In particular, these kits are designed to neutralize unexploded bombs, munitions and improvised explosive devices.
The Ministry of Defense promised to continue supporting Ukraine in 2023. It recalled that in 2022 they supplied Kyiv with military assistance in the amount of GBP 2.3 billion and promised to maintain the same level of support in the coming year.
