Ukraine counts on continued military, sanctions, financial support for France – Shmyhal

KYIV. Dec 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, during a meeting with his French counterpart Élisabeth Borne, said that he was counting on the continuation of military, sanctions and financial support for Ukraine by France.

"I called on the French government to take part in the implementation of the rapid Recovery Plan for Ukraine. In this context, we discussed assistance in the supply of energy equipment. We expect France to continue its military, sanctions and financial support," Shmyhal said on his Telegram channel.

According to him, in particular, this support will be provided through state guarantees to their businesses for investment in Ukraine.

Shmyhal also thanked France for its comprehensive assistance in countering Russian aggression.

"The clear consistent position of Paris has become a driver for granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for membership in the European Union. We expect that France will continue to contribute to progress in the implementation of the European integration track," the Ukrainian prime minister said.
