Ukraine fully restores 122 destroyed medical infrastructure facilities over ten months of war

KYIV. Dec 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In the ten months since the start of a full-scale war, Ukraine completely restored 122 medical infrastructure facilities destroyed by the occupiers.

According to the Ministry of Health, Minister of Health Viktor Liashko announced this at a meeting of the ministry’s final board on Tuesday.

He also said that another 257 medical infrastructure facilities were partially restored during the specified period.

"The Ministry of Health, together with partners, has already developed a plan for restoring the health care system from the consequences of the war. This will allow not only to rebuild the destroyed medical infrastructure, but, finally, to build a health care system according to the European model," the ministry notes.

In addition, the Ministry of Health specifies that in 2023 the implementation of the next stage of the medical reform will continue, under which a competent network of medical institutions will be created.

As reported, as of the end of December in Ukraine, 163 objects in medical institutions were completely destroyed due to the war, and 1,160 were damaged. Most of all, outpatient clinics and primary medical aid stations were destroyed.
