Ukraine once again receives confirmation of steady US support – Yermak

KYIV. Nov 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said that during the visit to Kyiv of U.S. National Security Adviser Jacob Sullivan, Ukraine "once again received confirmation of unswerving support until our victory."

"Our friends and partners are with us. They are working on consolidating our other partners, which is important before the G-20 meeting," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.

According to Yermak, during the meeting, they discussed "the prompt provision of air defense systems to Ukraine. We also touched on the exchange of prisoners and the activity of our ombudsman in involving international organizations. We touched on the work of the grain initiative."

"Yesterday, the President of Ukraine came up with an initiative to provide humanitarian assistance to the world’s poorest countries, which found themselves in this situation because of the war of conquest launched by Russia," he said, noting that he was "very pleased with this meeting."

Sullivan, for his part, called the talks "deep." According to the official, the United States will help Ukraine as much as necessary in this fight. There will be no hesitation, he said.

The new aid package announced by the Pentagon today, Sullivan said, will also include air defenses as Russian troops use missiles and Iranian drones to hit civilian infrastructure.

Sullivan said the United States’ officials are proud that they are working with other countries of the world to counteract Russia, which is trying to create problems through food and energy crises. He said it is very good that President Zelensky announced the provision of humanitarian aid in the form of food products to help different countries.

Sullivan said the United States will continue to provide their assistance and will help Ukraine and Ukrainians in this struggle: not only in words, but also in actions.
