By KYIV. Nov 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The bodies of 33 dead servicemen who gave their lives for Ukraine were handed over to relatives on Tuesday, according to the website of the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
The operation was carried out with the cooperation of Commissioner for Missing Persons Oleh Kotenko, and a number of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.
"The process of negotiations on the transfer of bodies continues all the time. Together we strive to return the bodies of the defenders to the families as soon as possible so that they can adequately honor their memory," Kotenko said.
In total, since the beginning of the work of the Office of the Commissioner, it was possible to return 696 bodies of the dead Ukrainian military, the department said.
