KYIV. Nov 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine will receive 500 power generators from 17 countries of the European Union to maintain access to electricity and heating, according to the EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations department.
"To sustain access to electricity and heating, 17 EU countries have sent 500 power generators to Ukraine via the EU Civil Protection Mechanism," the department said on Twitter.
Among the countries that have provided assistance to Ukraine are Slovenia, Slovakia, Ireland, Austria, Sweden, Spain, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Cyprus, Poland and France.
Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine had already received 700 generators from donors, and 900 more would be delivered in the near future.
