Ukraine withdraws from two agreements on cooperation with Russia and Belarus on state border – decree

KYIV. May 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine withdrew from the memorandum on cooperation in protecting state borders with Russia and Belarus and terminated the agreement with Russia on cooperation and interaction on border issues.

Corresponding decree No. 278/2023, signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, was published on the website of the head of state.

“Withdraw from the memorandum on cooperation in protecting the state borders of the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation and Ukraine, concluded on April 15, 1994 in Moscow,” the text of the document says.

The president also terminated the agreement between Ukraine and Russia on cooperation and interaction on border issues, concluded on August 3, 1994 in Odesa.

The decree entered into force on the day of its publication.
