By KYIV. Oct 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk hopes that the Israeli government will support the petition to stop broadcasting Russian propaganda television channels in Israel, in particular RT (Russia Today).
The ambassador said today the offices of the Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera will be closed in Israel, as the Israeli side accuses them of disseminating false information.
“We are raising the question of also closing RT and other Russian-language and English-language channels that broadcast in Israel. The time has come for this. I hope that the Israeli government will support public organizations that, at our request, have approached it, and the activities of these terrorist channels that sow Russian propaganda will be stopped in Israel,” he said at an online briefing at Ukraine Media Center – Ukrinform.
