Ukrainian grain exports total 15.1 mln tonnes since beginning of agricultural year – ministry

MOSCOW. Nov 14 (Interfax) – Ukraine has as of November 14 exported 15.1 million tonnes of grains since the start of the 2022-2023 agricultural year that began in July, the Ukrainian media reported, citing the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry.

According to the ministry, grain exports this year are 31% below last year, with 21.75 million tonnes of grains exported between July 1 and November 14 in 2021.

Ukraine has exported 8.08 million tonnes of corn since the start of the agricultural year, up 2.2-fold, 5.74 million tonnes of wheat, down 56.5%, 1.21 million tonnes of barley, down 73.7%, 11,200 tonnes of rye, down 84.4%, and 44,800 tonnes of flour, down 3.8%.

A total of 1.9 million tonnes of grains have been exported from the country since the start of November, including 742,000 tonnes of wheat, 1.033 million tonnes of corn, 109,000 tonnes of barley, 5,000 tonnes of rye, and 6,600 tonnes of flour.

Ukraine exported 48.51 million tonnes of cereal and pulse crops in the 2021-2022 agricultural year, up 8.4% from the previous season, with 18.74 million tonnes of wheat exported, up 12.6%, along with 23.54 million tonnes of corn, up 1.9%, 5.75 million tonnes of barley, up 35.9%, and 70,900 tonnes of flour, down 44.1%.
