According to the Prime Minister, the Minister of Energy and heads of energy enterprises reported on the progress of the renewable campaign at facilities, resource reserves and ways to ensure that demand for electrical energy is covered during the heating season.

“There is an ENTSO-E solution, thanks to which Ukraine can import up to 1.7 GW of electricity. The government has created the necessary mechanisms for private businesses to import electricity. These tools must be actively used,” he added.

Shmyhal also called the issue of debt to enterprises in the fuel and energy complex important. According to him, the Ministry of Energy reported on measures taken to stabilize the financial situation and the prepared regulations.

“The sustainable passage of the heating season is one of our key tasks. All those responsible have received tasks and instructions. At the same time, every Ukrainian can contribute to the energy system’s resilience and save electricity during peak hours. Coherence and solidarity are our keys to successfully overcoming the challenges of winter,” the head of government wrote.
