KYIV. Nov 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia drilled a new well in Kharkiv region, which will produce 140,000 cubic meters of gas per day, head of NJSC Naftogaz Oleksiy Chernyshov has said.
"Increasing our own gas production and implementing projects that will bring us closer to energy stability and independence is an absolute priority, especially today, when the energy sector has been targeted by the enemy," he wrote on his Facebook on Tuesday.
At the same time, Chernyshov stressed that additional gas production is helpful in the current heating season.
As reported, in October, Ukrgazvydobuvannia launched a well in Kharkiv region with a similar daily flow rate.
Later, Naftogaz explained on its website that such a result at the field, which was almost depleted during 50 years of operation, was achieved thanks to updated geological data, as well as the use of the latest technologies to intensify production.
