Ukrtransgaz accumulates UAH 15 mln since start of war to support Armed Forces of Ukraine

KYIV. Dec 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, JSC Ukrtransgaz, the operator of gas storage facilities in Ukraine, has accumulated UAH 15 million to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the Naftogaz group reported on its Telegram channel on Monday.

"This week, JSC Ukrtransgaz, the operator of Ukrainian gas storages, summed up the results of the company’s charitable work for 10 months since the start of the full-scale invasion. During this time, the operator’s team has accumulated more than UAH 15 million in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the company said.

For these funds, quadcopters, thermal imagers, cars, thousands of uniforms, shoes and equipment needed by soldiers on the front line were purchased, the company said.

The system of 12 underground storage facilities of Ukrtransgaz, fully owned by NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, with a total design capacity of 31 billion cubic meters, includes Bilche-Volytsko-Uherske UGS (17.05 billion cubic meters), Uherske (1.9 billion cubic meters), Dashavske (2.15 billion cubic meters), Oparske (1.92 billion cubic meters), Bohorodchanske (2.3 billion cubic meters), Krasnopartyzanske (1.5 billion cubic meters), Solokivske (1.3 billion cubic meters), Olishevske (0.31 billion cubic meters), Proletarske (1 billion cubic meters), Kehychivske (0.7 billion cubic meters), Krasnopopivske (0.42 billion cubic meters) and Verhunske (0.4 billion cubic meters), the latter is located on the temporarily occupied territory.
