By KYIV. Nov 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The United States will finance the purchase of electric grid equipment for the restoration of the Ukrainian energy system in the amount of $53 million, CNN reports, citing a message from the U.S. State Department.
“This supply package will include distribution transformers, circuit breakers, surge arresters, disconnectors, vehicles and other key equipment,” the message reads.
The funds will be allocated in addition to the $55 million already provided earlier, which had been allocated for emergency support of the energy sector.
