By KYIV. Dec 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said that the leadership of Ukraine and the United States has the same understanding of how the war should end.
"With the Americans, we have a 100 percent understanding of what the peace is, what our goals are, what compromises there can be. There can be no compromises with that president (Putin), with those authorities regarding independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty," he said in an interview with Natalia Moseychuk, published on Thursday.
"There will be no Minsk 2, the Normandy agreements. For them, this is very important. This topic was discussed in Congress. I felt that for Democrats and Republicans, this is a very sensitive issue, how this war should end. Our main partner thinks the same way as us and plans its steps based on this philosophy," Yermak said.
