Volunteer from intl organization killed amid morning shelling of Kherson – region’s head

KYIV. Dec 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Two people have been killed and three others injured as a result of the shelling of the center of Kherson by Russian occupiers on Thursday morning, head of Kherson Regional Military Administration Yaroslav Yanushevych has said.

"In the morning, the Russian occupiers shelled the center of Kherson. The enemy hit a critical infrastructure facility. Shell fragments damaged residential buildings and the place where the medical aid and humanitarian aid station is located," Yanushevych wrote on Telegram on Thursday.

"Unfortunately, as a result of the Russian attack, two people have killed, one of them was a volunteer, a member of the rapid response unit of an international organization. During the shelling, they were on the street, they were mortally wounded by fragments of enemy shells. Three more people were injured, two of them were hospitalized in a medical facility. Currently, doctors are providing them with the necessary assistance," the head of the regional administration said.
