KYIV. Oct 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Welsh Parliament recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people, the press service of the Ukrainian Embassy in the UK has said.
“We are grateful to the Welsh Parliament and the Counsel General of Wales and Minister for the Constitution, Mick Antoniw for recognizing the 1932-1933 Holodomor in Ukraine as genocide committed against Ukrainians,” the embassy said.
The embassy said this is a significant milestone in restoring historical justice and raising awareness about the millions of innocent victims.
